Fabio's Story
Fabio was born in Melbourne, Australia. His cousin Patrick brought him to his first Jiu Jitsu class under the false pretence that they were going to a WWE wrestling class. Although disappointed that they weren’t going to learn how to power bomb each other, Fabio was immediately hooked.

As he would begin training under Brazilian legend, Marcelino Freitas, Fabio’s attention would solely be focused on training and competing. Often training twice a day with his cousin Pat. It was a miracle that he managed his Engineering and Finance degree.

Throughout his journey, Fabio found his love of competing as well, consistently signing up for competitions in Australia, winning Pan Pacific Championships at each belt level.
Eventually, having finished his degree, he began his career as an engineer. However, this career was short lived, as a few years later he would move to Hong Kong, where he eventually fell into opening a gym in the midst of COVID. And that was when Tempo Jiu Jitsu was founded. In a friends painting studio in the middle of Central, Hong Kong, with just some friends and a mat, laid next to 300 pitchforks.
